Statement Studio is designed so that your financial data never leaves your Mac.
When you import a statement, Statement Studio reads the file you selected and stores the detected transactions, the categories you assign, and your edits in a local database inside the app's sandbox container on your Mac. This data:
Your original statement files are opened read-only and are never modified.
The app keeps a small local diagnostics log to help it run reliably. This log records only stable event names and small non-identifying counters (for example, "a statement was parsed" with a row count). It never records transaction descriptions, amounts, payees, account numbers, file contents, or file paths. The log is bounded in size, rotates, and stays on your Mac.
Optional one-time packs are sold through Apple's App Store using StoreKit. Apple processes the purchase; Statement Studio receives only the entitlement (whether you own a pack). We do not see your payment details.
Statement Studio is a general-purpose finance utility and is not directed at children.
If this policy changes, the updated version ships with a new app version and the date above is revised.
Questions about privacy: the developer contact listed on the app's App Store page.
This Mac app contains no advertising of any kind: no ad SDK, no banner or full-window promotional message, no interstitial, no cross-app identifier, no tracking, no targeting, and no personal profile. Optional one-time packs are presented only in the app's own Packs section, which you open yourself, and on a locked workspace you have chosen to visit.
