These terms govern your use of ReelCaption Studio ("the app"), a fully local Mac application published by bee2.io LLC. By using the app you agree to these terms.
The app is licensed, not sold, to you for personal or commercial use on Apple devices you own or control, subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and these terms. In-app purchases (power packs) are one-time, non-consumable purchases that unlock additional features permanently for your Apple ID; they are yours forever and are not subscriptions.
There are no subscriptions and no recurring fees. Buying a power pack or the Everything bundle is a one-time purchase. You can restore purchases on eligible devices signed in to the same Apple ID from within the app. The free core remains fully usable without a purchase.
You retain all rights to the video clips you import or record and the captioned videos and subtitle files you export. The app processes your content on-device only and does not upload, store remotely, or claim rights to it. You are responsible for having the rights to content you import or capture and for any fonts you install and use.
Use the app lawfully and only with content you are permitted to use. Do not attempt to reverse engineer, circumvent purchase gating, or misuse the app.
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. On-device transcription and caption timing are automated and may contain errors; review captions before publishing. You are responsible for the final output you export and share.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, bee2.io LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including lost data or lost output. The app never overwrites your original files, and all exports are written without overwriting existing files.
We may update these terms; the updated version ships with the app and the date above will be revised. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
