TaleBindery is a children’s creativity app that runs entirely on your Mac. It does not collect, transmit, sell, or share user data.
Books and pack records are stored in the app’s sandboxed Application Support container. A photo selected through a file panel is copied into that container; the original is not changed. Vision subject lifting, Core Image styles, activity line art, speech alignment, charts, pixel work, and all export rendering happen locally.
Narration records only after an explicit Record action and uses Apple’s microphone permission prompt. Recordings remain local. TaleBindery does not use the camera.
Interactive IAP samples use separate temporary containers. Their data is deleted when the sample closes and is never merged into the main library.
A small local diagnostics log records event names and non-identifying counters. It never records book titles, story text, drawings, photos, recordings, milestones, or file contents, and it never leaves the Mac.
Optional packs are non-consumable App Store purchases. Apple processes payment and restore eligibility. TaleBindery receives entitlement status through StoreKit and never receives payment details or operates a purchase server.
You can export books and open backups, choose every output destination, and delete the local library in Settings. You are responsible for maintaining copies of work you wish to preserve.
This Mac app contains no advertising of any kind: no ad SDK, no banner or full-window promotional message, no interstitial, no cross-app identifier, no tracking, no targeting, and no personal profile. Optional one-time packs are presented only in the app's own Packs section, which you open yourself, and on a locked workspace you have chosen to visit.
