SwingReel is designed to be private by default. It runs entirely on your Mac.

The short version

• No account, no sign-in, no cloud. SwingReel has no servers.
• Nothing you import or create leaves your Mac. Your video clips, the cached pose data, your drawings, tags, trims, and notes are stored only in SwingReel's local library on your computer.
• No analytics, no tracking, no third-party advertising, no third-party SDKs at runtime.
• No camera and no microphone. This version imports existing video files only.
• The only network connection SwingReel makes is to Apple's App Store (StoreKit) for one-time purchases and to restore them. SwingReel itself does not hold a network entitlement.

What SwingReel stores, and where

• Imported clips are copied into SwingReel's application-support container so the app can read them reliably. Your original files are referenced in place and are never modified.
• Analysis data - on-device 2D and 3D body-pose joints - is computed on your Mac with Apple's Vision framework and cached in compact local sidecar files.
• Your annotations, sport tags, trims, comparison sessions, metric snapshots, manual joint corrections, trajectory attempts, 3D pose snapshots, charted match events, score states, serve positions, drills, board elements, paths, keyframes, reference identifiers, practice plans, batch queues, export presets, progress-reel records, and notes live in a local SQLite database in the same container.
• Local exports such as synchronized clips, CSV ledgers, PDF match books, drill sheets, practice plans, board animations, annotated batch videos, GIFs, contact sheets, and progress reels are written only to the location you choose or to a disposable sample folder.

Interactive pack samples

An interactive sample creates a separate app-owned temporary container populated with synthetic clips. It never opens your production SwingReel library. Sample changes and watermarked sample exports remain in that temporary container, which is deleted when the sample closes. Fixed action budgets are tracked only in memory for that sample session. The Everything sample combines all seven specialist samples inside one disposable environment; it does not bypass any constituent sample budget or unlock production data.

None of this is transmitted anywhere. There is no telemetry.

On-device processing

Pose and trajectory detection use Apple's Vision framework running locally on your Mac. No image or video data is sent off the device for analysis.

Footage of other people, including minors

Because everything stays on your device, footage of your own body or of young athletes is not uploaded and is not shared by SwingReel. You remain solely responsible for the footage you import and for having any consent required to record and analyze it.

Purchases

One-time purchases are handled by Apple's App Store. SwingReel receives only the entitlement status needed to unlock a purchased feature. Apple's own privacy policy governs the transaction.

Data deletion

You can delete everything SwingReel stores at any time from Settings → Delete all data / reset. This removes SwingReel's copies, analysis caches, drawings, tags, comparison sessions, metric snapshots, joint corrections, trajectory attempts, 3D pose snapshots, charted matches, drills, practice plans, generated working files, batch queues, export presets, progress-reel records, and database. It does not touch your original video files. Removing the app also removes its container.

No advertising and no promotional messaging

This Mac app contains no advertising of any kind: no ad SDK, no banner or full-window promotional message, no interstitial, no cross-app identifier, no tracking, no targeting, and no personal profile. Optional one-time packs are presented only in the app's own Packs section, which you open yourself, and on a locked workspace you have chosen to visit.
