Privacy Policy - Sheafloft

Effective date: 2026-08-30

Full policy: https://bee2.io/legal/sheafloft/privacy

This Privacy Policy covers the Sheafloft app and every tool/module within it (including a PDF page organizer with drag-and-drop reorder, merge, split, numbering/Bates stamps, compression, and secure rasterized export). Sheafloft is a consumer document tool that runs on your device.

1. The short version

Sheafloft is local-first: the app's features run on your device and the content you create (settings, saved projects, logs, results) stays on your device. We do not operate accounts or servers for it, and we never receive, sell, or rent the content you create. The Android and iOS apps contain no advertising SDK and no analytics SDK, show no ads, do not access advertising identifiers, and do not request App Tracking Transparency permission.

2. Information we do NOT collect

We do not ask for or collect your name, email, contacts, precise identity, documents or photos (beyond on-device processing you initiate), health data, or location. We operate no server that receives such data. Any data the app creates is stored locally on your device and remains under your control.

3. Sensors and device permissions

The app processes the documents and photos you choose entirely on your device. File selection uses the operating system's document and photo pickers, so the app never needs broad storage access. Your documents are never uploaded - the app has no accounts and no cloud processing, and we never receive, see, or store your files. The only other capability the app holds is standard network access, used for the store purchase/restore flow and links that you choose to open - not to transmit the content you create to us.

4. No advertising or analytics

The Android and iOS apps contain no advertising SDK and no analytics SDK. They show no ads, do not request or use advertising identifiers, and do not send advertising, attribution, or analytics events to bee2.io or an advertising provider.

5. Purchases

Optional one-time feature purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never see or receive your payment-card details. The app stores only a local record that a feature was unlocked. Purchase data is handled under Apple's and Google's own privacy policies.

When you buy or restore Sheafloft Pro, the app sends the store's purchase token / transaction identifier for that purchase, together with the product and app identifiers and your platform (iOS or Android), to a bee2.io endpoint (iap.bee2.io) so we can confirm the purchase directly with Apple or Google before unlocking the feature. This is how we stop forged unlocks. No name, email, account, device identifier, or document content is sent, and nothing about you is sent unless you actually make or restore a purchase. We do not store the purchase token: the service keeps only a short-lived truncated hash of it (about ten minutes, to avoid re-asking the store on a repeat check) plus abuse-prevention request counts tied to a network address. Security logs record the outcome of a verification, never the token or receipt. The lawful basis is performance of our contract with you.

6. Internet access

The app uses standard network access for the store purchase/restore flow and user-opened legal or support links. It does not send the content you create to us, and its core features work offline. Separately, your device's operating system and the app store you used (Apple or Google) may independently process store transactions or diagnostics under their own privacy policies; that processing is outside our control and, apart from the purchase verification described in section 5, is not shared with us.

7. Data retention and deletion

Because the content you create lives on your device, you control it. The app provides an in-app "Delete all data" control (in Settings) that erases your local app data. You can also clear the app's data in your device settings, or uninstall the app. The app does not require or offer an account, so there is no remote account to delete.

8. Children

Sheafloft is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). The app shows no ads and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact [email protected].

9. Notice at Collection & California rights (CCPA/CPRA)

The app does not collect personal information for bee2.io, other than the purchase-verification data described in section 5, which is used solely to confirm a purchase and is never sold, shared, or used for advertising, does not contain an advertising or analytics SDK, and does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising a right.

10. Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR and similar)

For the app's on-device features we hold no personal data about you to access, correct, port, or delete. The purchase-verification data in section 5 is held only transiently and is not stored against an identity, so there is no profile of you for us to retrieve or erase; we will still answer any request about it. You may still contact [email protected] with a privacy question or lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority. Apple or Google may independently process store transactions under their own privacy policies.

11. Security

The content you create stays on your device and is protected by your device's own security (passcode, encryption, sandboxing). No internet transmission is ever completely secure; because the app does not transmit the content you create, that risk is minimized.

12. International users

The app processes the content you create locally on your device wherever you are. Store transactions may be processed by Apple or Google in other countries under their own policies.

13. Changes

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date and, where appropriate, an in-app notice. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
