By using Cookbook Vault (the app), you agree to these terms. For Mac App Store distribution, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies and governs if it conflicts with these terms.
Cookbook Vault is a local recipe manager and cooking assistant. The free core stores and organizes recipes, scales quantities, builds a hand-selected grocery list, presents a basic cook reader, and exports local backups. Optional packs add import, planning, grocery automation, pantry, translation/nutrition, cookbook publishing, and advanced cook workflows.
The app requires no bee2.io account and has no subscription.
Recipes, photos, tags, notes, lists, plans, pantry records, translations, cookbook projects, and exports are yours. You are responsible for having the right to use content you import and publish. The app claims no ownership of that content and does not transmit it to a bee2.io server.
The seven specialist packs and Everything are one-time non-consumable purchases through Apple's App Store. Apple processes payment, restoration, and refunds under its policies. Everything unlocks the seven specialist packs available in this version.
Every product has a free bounded interactive sample. Samples use disposable generated content, impose clearly stated task limits, may watermark export, and delete temporary data when closed. Sample content does not merge into the real library. A sample demonstrates behavior but does not grant ownership.
Translation availability depends on the macOS Translation framework, supported language pairs, and installed system language models. Live Cook Mode Pro voice control depends on microphone/speech permission and compatible on-device speech recognition. The app does not promise that every language, accent, recipe phrase, or spoken command will be recognized correctly. Always verify translated cooking instructions before use.
Cookbook Vault is an organizing and cooking-assistant tool, not medical, dietary, allergen, nutrition, or food-safety advice. Nutrition values are local estimates based on matched ingredient lines and may be incomplete. Conversions that depend on density use reference values that can differ by ingredient form and packing. Voice commands, timers, cooking times, temperatures, translations, storage dates, and spoilage indicators require the user's judgment. Follow authoritative safety guidance and account for allergies and dietary needs.
The user is responsible for reviewing cookbook and other exports and for keeping backups. Export uses non-overwriting local destinations, but deletion of the app or use of reset can permanently remove data because bee2.io has no cloud copy.
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted, error-free operation or suitability for a particular recipe, diet, publication, device, or workflow.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, bee2.io LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of data, or harm arising from use of the app. Some jurisdictions do not permit every limitation, so applicable law may provide additional rights.
Updated terms ship with the app and change the effective date above. Continued use after an update means acceptance of the revised terms.
